Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy

Jurnal YADIM: International Journal of Islam and Contemporary Affairs is firmly committed to safeguarding the long-term preservation, permanent availability, and integrity of its published scholarly record. To ensure that all published articles remain permanently accessible to the global research community, the journal employs a dual-layered archiving strategy:

  • Institutional Archiving & Infrastructure: In partnership with its host institution, Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM), the journal utilizes automated, systematic data backup protocols and secure server storage to protect against data loss and ensure technical durability.

  • National Digital Preservation: To maximize visibility and guarantee long-term digital preservation at a national level, the journal’s full-text content and metadata are systematically archived in MySitasi: Malaysia’s national journal indexing and preservation repositories managed by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

Through these robust archival frameworks, Jurnal YADIM ensures that its contemporary Islamic affairs scholarship is securely preserved, discoverable, and accessible in perpetuity, even in the event of unforeseen digital disruptions.
