Marketing Policy

Jurnal YADIM: International Journal of Islam and Contemporary Affairs enforces a Direct Marketing Policy that is ethical, professional, and transparent. This comprehensive policy is formulated to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, anchored upon three core pillars:

Pillar 1: Accuracy of Information and Independence from Commercial Influence

Any promotional initiatives, including Calls for Papers or special issue announcements, must contain authentic and accurate information. Jurnal YADIM strictly prohibits any form of false or misleading statements regarding indexing status, citation metrics, or article review timelines, and emphasizes that no guarantees of approval or expedited (fast-track) publication are provided to any author. Furthermore, to safeguard editorial independence from commercial bias, the journal consistently rejects any form of third-party advertising on its official platforms.

Pillar 2: Targeted Marketing, Data Sovereignty, and Privacy Protection

External communication and academic outreach are targeted exclusively at researchers, authors, and subject-matter experts whose research portfolios strictly align with the focus and scope of the journal. Contact information is gathered lawfully through voluntary user registration on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) portal or from official institutional directories, and is guaranteed never to be shared or sold to third parties for commercial purposes. In respect of digital etiquette and anti-spam regulations, email dispatch frequency is reasonably restricted, and every marketing communication must provide a clear opt-out (unsubscribe) mechanism that takes effect immediately.

Pillar 3: Editorial Independence and Peer Review Integrity

This policy establishes a clear separation between promotional activities or solicited submissions and the editorial decision-making process. Every manuscript received remains strictly subject to an objective and impartial double-blind peer review process. This process is managed entirely by highly qualified external reviewers who are appointed independently and screened for any potential conflicts of interest.

By implementing this ethical and transparent direct marketing policy, Jurnal YADIM not only attracts high-quality manuscript submissions but also reinforces its reputation as an authoritative, trusted, and credible research platform for da'wah (Islamic outreach) and contemporary Islamic affairs, fully meeting national and international publishing standards.
